Quick tees! - Fabric painting 1
I did a free hand T shirt pattern with the help of fabric 3D liner. It turned out to be a pretty quick process. It hardly takes the paint a couple of hours to dry and is ready to wear overnight.
For the paints, I used a fabric 3D liner and multi surface acrylic. I used both of them in the same color, but different liner color would also work well depending on the t-shirt color and the pattern.
Step 1: Place a sheet of news paper or butter paper within the T-shirt before starting to paint. This avoids the paint from seeping in to the back of the T-shirt.
Step 2: Draw the design free hand (you can trace out the design with a carbon sheet first if required) using the 3D liner. I used dry clips to hold the fabric stiff with the newspaper I put in.
Step 3: wait for an hour or two for the 3D liner to dry. Paint within the 3D lined regions using the acrylic paints.
Step 4: after the acrylic painting, you can retouch some parts of the design if the 3D liner seems uneven. And just wait and wear !
